Logistics leaders compete for 'hall of fame' award

Aramex, Emirates and DP World executives compete for Mideast award.

For the first time ever, members of the Middle East logistics industry are being invited to vote for a category at this year’s Supply Chain and Transport Awards (SCATA).

Five finalists have been short listed for the prestigious ‘SCATA Hall of Fame’ award, which is designed to honour a respected figurehead that has made a valued contribution to the industry’s growth over the past year, while raising the benchmark for regional excellence.

This year’s finalists are: Fadi Ghandour (Aramex), Fathi Buhazza (Maximus Air Cargo), Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa (Bahrain’s General Organisation of Sea Ports), Ram Menen (Emirates SkyCargo) and Mohammed Al Muallem (DP World).

The winner will be announced at a glitzy ceremony at Dubai’s Grosvenor House hotel on Wednesday 2nd June 2010.

The category was introduced to the Supply Chain and Transport Awards (SCATA) last year, when Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem (Dubai World) was selected by judges as the winner.
