Lufthansa to launch new route to Riyadh
German carrier Lufthansa will launch a new service to the Saudi Arabian city of Riyadh on April 26.
The new route will fly from Munich to Riyadh's King Khaled International Airport, the airline told a press conference in the kingdom on Sunday.
"This new link will provide additional travel options and opportunities for our customers as Munich is a major business and tourist destination," Stefan Loecherbach, Lufthansa director for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen, told the press conference, quoted by Arab News.
The service will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It will be served by a Boeing 737-800 Intercontinental, which has 24 business class seats and in 84 economy class.
The airline currently operates 85 flights to various destinations across the Middle East.
