Fadi Ghandour tops logistics power list for 2010
Logistics Middle East magazine has named Fadi Ghandour as the most influential CEO of a logistics company in the Middle East.
The founder and chief executive officer of Aramex secured the lead in this year’s Logistics Middle East Power 25 list, despite stiff competition from industry leaders throughout the region.
Elias Monem, CEO of Agility in the Middle East and Africa, was ranked second on the list, while Bill Hill, group vice president of GAC Logistics, was third.
Others in the top ten included Hamdi Osman (senior vice president of FedEx in the Middle East), Garry Kemp (Middle East director of DHL Express), Werner Kleymann (Middle East manager of Kuehne + Nagel), and Jinendra Sancheti (managing director of TNT in the MEA region).
“Fadi Ghandour has transformed his company into one of the industry’s biggest success stories, with a distinctive leadership style that has resulted in increased profits even during the global recession,” commented Robeel Haq, senior group editor of Logistics Middle East.
To celebrate his achievement, Ghandour has provided the magazine with an exclusive insight into the various facets of his leadership style, including a guarantee to employees that zero redundancies would occur during the current economic crisis. Click here for the full interview.
