Following on from its record-breaking 220-moves-per-hour score on the UASC vessel ‘Mayssan’, reported earlier this week, the Gulftainer-operated Port of Khorfakkan has added another impressive figure to its roster of achievements.

On 9th April, the port carried out productivity rated at 279 moves per hour throughout the entire cargo operation on the CMA-CGM Pelleas during her recent call at the port.

Operations at Khorfakkan have recently been boosted by the arrival of two new gantry cranes, bringing the total number at the facility to 16.

"Captain Dag Froehmcke's team have really proved themselves to be the best this time and I am sure the shipping industry will take note – if you need to save money and time, Sharjah's Ports should be on your schedule,” said Peter Richards, director and general manager of Gulftainer.

“Congratulations to Dag and his team for another wonderful job done,” he added.
