Agility has a solution for Houston
Kuwaiti logistics major Agility is upgrading its presence in the Texan city of Houston by shifting its base of operations to a larger facility located near the Houston Intercontinental Airport.
The new 20-acre location features 50,000 square feet of office space, 200,000 square feet of warehouse space and a larger secure cargo area, an overall 25% increase in total storage space.
Agility’s operations in Houston have been cemented by the purchase of the Transoceanic Shipping Company and WTS in the last four years. Along with Geo-Logistics Houston, these groups form the core of Agility’s efforts in the energy nerve centre of the US. The Kuwaiti firm offers project, oil and gas, mining, heavy haul sea/air, customs brokerage, NVOCC services, and globally integrated solutions from its Houston location.
“Consolidating our operations provides opportunities to create efficiencies and enhance customer service,” said Thomas J. Griffin, president and CEO of Agility Project Logistics.
“Our Houston unification will provide us with the right platform to effectively manage our business through the current cycle, and facilitate growth in the coming years,” Griffin added.
