Interroll has recorded a record net profit increase of 6% during fiscal-year 2008, although the company admitted that the outlook for this year would be ‘very challenging’ and that it expected a decline in revenue and earnings.

However, the firm stated that its strong balance sheet was one of its best assets and added that it would continue to remain a reliable partner to its 23,000 customers even amidst the tough conditions.

Interroll is also expanding its activities in this region and will exhibit at Material Handling Middle East, which is scheduled for 31st May to 2nd June in Dubai.

“We decided to exhibit because we would like to hear customer needs directly and also to inform them about the features and advantages of dynamic storage applications,” said Bulent Caliskan, Interroll’s key account manager export, speaking to LogisticsMiddleEast.com.

“We’ve already had quite a few projects in this region, largely dealing with distributors, pharmaceutical companies and dairy firms. We delivered over 30,000 Pallet Flow pallet places and over 10,000 Cart Pushback pallet places,” Bulent added.
