UPS last month celebrated ten years of operations in the UAE. Since starting out in 1996, UPS UAE has grown to 160 staff with offices across the seven emirates, as well as in Jebel Ali Free Zone and Dubai Airport Free Zone.

“The UAE is a market with tremendous growth opportunity and we are constantly looking at ways to enhance our service to our customers,” said John Tansey, country manager, UPS UAE. “UPS is at the forefront when it comes to adopting user-friendly, Internetbased solutions to help customers track and trace and receive their packages more quickly and easily, making us one of the leading logistics service providers in the UAE with proven expertise across all industries.”

Sixteen UPS flights come into Dubai International every week, from destinations as far apart as Cologne, Hong Kong, China and Philippines.

Goods are assigned for delivery in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. UPS UAE is a joint venture between UPS and Gulf Agency Dubai (GAC).
