David Christmas appointed as CEO of DHL Supply Chain Middle East
The DHL Supply Chain Mainland Europe, Middle East & Africa (MLEMEA) management team has announce that David Christmas has been promoted as the CEO of Middle East and Africa.
Christmas brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having joined the business in 2004 as client director.
In his new role Christmas will be leading on the overall strategy for the supply chain business and the direct managerial team, while overseeing operations and business activities to ensure a consistent delivery of quality services.
Christmas was part of the team that won DHL Supply Chain a major MRO logistics contract with Etihad Airways Engineering last year. DHL Supply Chain will manage stores, local transport movements and associated supply chain planning at the Etihad Airways Engineering hub at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
“The supply chain performance and solution has a major impact on the effectiveness of the MRO function. Our expertise and services will help Etihad Airways Engineering to progress towards its vision and meet its strategic agenda effectively,” he said at the time.
Commenting on his appointment, Christmas said: “We continue to see tremendous opportunity in the Middle East and Africa region and we hope to further strengthen our leadership as the supply chain service provider of choice. We have had a number of significant wins last year which couldn’t have been achieved without our regional team delivering the best service quality and we look forward to another successful year.”
David’s career in logistics spans over 20 years across Europe, Asia and Africa. In various roles including, general management, business development, transport and customer relations.
