L’Oréal wins Retail trophy at Logistics ME Awards
L’Oréal was awarded the trophy for Retail Supply Chain Management of the Year at the Logistics Middle East Awards 2017.
Retail is a key component of the region’s economic diversification strategy and with both home grown concepts and major international brands arriving all the time, the retail supply chain has undergone aggressive expansion.
Retail Supply Chain Management of the Year recognises the big brands and the 3PLs that are finding methods to increase speed to market, while limiting costs. There were many entries from both end-users and 3PLs, but the judges were won over by L’Oréal’s ambitious sustainable development objectives across the group’s value chain.
“It feels great to win this award, I’m very happy that the retail logistics supply chain of L’Oréal has been recognised in this way by Logistics Middle East,” said Mohsen Khan, physical distribution manager for the Middle East, L’Oréal.
“I’m also very glad that we’ve been recognised for our sustainable logistics operations and our ‘Sharing beauty with all’ initiative. We don’t want to just do logistics, we want to do it in a manner that is sustainable and environmentally friendly,” he said.
