Emirates SkyCargo wins Pharma at Logistics ME Awards
Emirates SkyCargo was awarded the trophy for Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Management of the Year at the Logistics Middle East Awards 2017.
For this category the judges looked for exceptional performance in the field of pharma supply chain management, including storage facilities, distribution services and value-added solutions.
Emirates SkyPharma won for its world-class standards in regulatory compliance and global certification, high flexibility in providing fully customer focused solutions and its rapid growth.
“It’s great to be recognised, we’ve put a lot of effort into our facilities and equipment over the last year to ensure that our global and local operations and internationally certified,” said Julian Sutch, manager global sales pharma, Emirates SkyCargo.
“It’s extremely important to ensure that you’re compliant with the latest regulations and best practise and we’ve focused heavily on that. We were up against some great competitors, including some important customers,” he added.
Sutch added that Emirates SkyPharma’s focus in the coming year would be taking its Dubai success global in pharmaceutical logistics. “What we’ve done in Dubai is great and it’s one of the areas that’s been given the greatest focus given the environmental factors that we’re dealing with here,” he told Logistics Middle East.
“But what we’re focusing on now is rolling out a plan to copy what we’ve done in Dubai internationally, to ensure that from origin to destination there is an unbroken chain of excellence.”
