Kuwait-based logistics company Agility has secured a five-year contract to provide transportation services for 50% of Equate Petrochemical Company’s land distribution operations in the Middle East.

“We have been working with Equate for the past five years,” said Dakheel Al Dakheel, Agility’s director of sales in Kuwait. “To win the second contract, we had to compete with strong international companies and maintain rigorous safety regulations. We are very pleased to be joining hands with Equate again and we aim to work closely with them for all their transportation and distribution needs.”

The agreement reinforces Agility’s strategy to provide a comprehensive range of logistics services to the regional oil and gas sector. The operator has established a transport network throughout the GCC and the rest of the Middle East, and can call on a fleet of over 6000 vehicles to provide regional delivery services.

“We currently have a dedicated fleet of trucks and drivers serving the Equate project,” announced Hamad Malallah, Agility’s senior transportation manager in Kuwait.

“All our operations adhere to the highest safety and security standards, provide international technical services and are managed by Agility’s central operation division with full visibility to Equate’s team. Based on Equate’s increasing requirements going forward, we will enlarge this fleet in the coming future.”
