Charlie Swanson has joined Knight Frank as a Surveyor in the Commercial Agency department where he will take the lead on our industrial and logistics instructions.

He will assist Knight Frank to meet increasing demand from occupiers and landlords in the industrial sector across the UAE who require additional space, aiming to downsize or vacate their accommodation.

Charlie has over two and a half years’ local market experience in the industrial and logistics sector and has represented numerous multi-national corporations in both acquisitions and disposals of space within the UAE.

Having worked with multi-national and Fortune 500 companies, including leading logistics companies, Charlie has hands-on experience dealing with requirements in excess of 20,000 sq. m. Working with global corporate management teams has allowed Charlie to develop effective communication and client relation skills that have forged lasting relationships with his clients.”

Matthew Dadd, Partner, commercial leasing at Knight Frank UAE commented, ‘‘Charlie’s arrival underscores our commitment to this sector, he brings with him a considerable insight into both the onshore and offshore industrial and logistics districts.’’

Charlie noted, ‘‘The UAE industrial and logistics market has experienced headwinds in 2016, however there is much to be optimistic about with the governments continued support of this pillar of the economy and investment in large scale infrastructure projects. We have also seen continued expansion from the logistics, manufacturing and general trading sectors, and strong demand for European specification warehousing, giving credence to our underlying optimism. However, the shifting forces of supply and demand in the secondary industrial market do create uncertainty for occupiers and landlords, and the importance of impartial, reasoned advice is more crucial than ever.”
