Daikin Reefer opens centre in Jebel Ali Free Zone
Daikin Reefer, a leading global supplier of container refrigeration equipment, has announced the opening of a new spare parts centre in Dubai.
Daikin Reefer is the first reefer manufacturer to establish an official parts centre in this region. Supporting Daikin’s commitment to safeguarding reliability and protecting cargo, the parts centre will be managed by long-term partner and leading reefer servicing operator, IRS International (IRSI).
The new spare parts centre is located in Jebel Ali Free Zone, and has a specific focus on providing refrigerated container services. It is a significant step for Daikin Reefer, which has to date been relying on the experience and expertise of 20 Daikin authorised repairers located across the 15 main ports of the Middle East region.
Commenting on the new spare parts centre, Shin Furuta, president, Daikin Reefer said: “This is an exciting milestone for Daikin Reefer, as the Middle East is increasingly becoming a prominent container market. As with our other regional spare parts centers, our Dubai center will stock all the major spare parts used and will be able to make these available to customers quickly and efficiently when required.”
As the Middle East container market continues to grow, so too does the need for specialised repairers that are able to deliver an improved service.
Daikin Reefer hopes that the establishment of this new spare parts centre will be welcomed by its customers, particularly shipping lines and repairers who have previously highlighted the need for a ‘Satellite Parts Centre’, in a bid to drive down delivery costs and improve the overall supply chain.
