Emirates Motor launches new Mercedes Medium-duty Trucks
Emirates Motor Company (EMC), the Mercedes-Benz authorised distributor in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and the flagship company of Al Fahim Group, has launched three models of Mercedes-Benz’s medium-duty truck variants - Accelo 915 C, Atego 1418 and Atego 1725 in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The launch of the range of trucks at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi, was attended by senior members of the Al Fahim family as well as executive management from the Emirates Motor Company and the Daimler Commercial Vehicle Middle East Regional Office.
The launch is in line with EMC’s ongoing efforts to increase its market share in the UAE’s fast growing commercial vehicles market where the medium-duty truck segment has shown strong signs of growth in the past few years. The new models boast added safety features as well as improved fuel efficiency and maneuverability on the roads.

Of the three models launched, the Mercedes-Benz Accelo 915 C, the smallest of the trio, is equipped with a 150 hp four-cylinder engine and boasts a payload of 5.8 tonnes. The Accelo's cab has the capacity to accommodate a driver and two passengers.
The Accelo's bigger brother - the Atego 1418 - offers a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 14 tonnes and a six speed synchromesh gearbox with a two speed real axle. The truck is powered by a 177 hp four-cylinder engine.
The largest of the three - the Atego 1725 - Offers a 245 hp six-cylinder engine and offers a GVW of 17.1 tonnes.
