Unitechnik to hold first international Logistics Day
Unitechnik are organising their first international Logistics Day at Dubai Logistics City, with the event planned for May 31st.
The motto of the event is “Evaluate and Increase Warehouse Efficiency”. The focus is on new developments in the areas of warehouse automation and warehouse management as well as practical examples from trade, aviation, and production.
The half-day event will take place at the logistics centre of Unitechnik customer Integrated National Logistics (INL). Visitors will be given a behind the scenes tour to view the service provider’s processes. INL handles the logistics in Dubai for well-known foods producers.
Unitechnik provided the automation systems for INL’s 40,000 m² cold storage facility and also recently retrofitted the previous ambient storage area to store foods at –28°C. The presentations by Unitechnik Systems Wiehl, INL, and logistics consultancy Neef provide insight into the actual planning and implementation of logistics centres that are guaranteed to be ready for what the future brings. All presentations will be given in English.
Unitechnik, an international general contractor for turnkey logistics systems, has maintained offices in Dubai since 2007. By establishing a local presence, the company provides support for numerous well-known customers in the Middle East, including Emirates Flight Catering, the Dubai Flower Centre, SIG Combibloc, and the Oman airport.
“In organizing the Unitechnik Logistics Day, which we hope to establish as a recurring event, we are sharing our knowledge in logistics automation with customers and prospective buyers. Our experience and numerous practical examples can be a valuable blueprint for similar projects,” said Hans Christian Ettengruber, managing director of the Unitechnik subsidiary Unitechnik FZE in Dubai.
Those interested in attending can still register until May 27 by sending an email to email@example.com at Unitechnik FZE Dubai. To gain access to the Dubai Logistics City free trade zone, visitors are requested to include a copy of their identification documents with the registration.
