GISS confirms six injured in oil rig fire in Qatar
A fire on an onshore drilling rig operated by Qatar's Gulf International Services (GISS) has injured six people.
The fire started while the rig was being prepared for a move to another location, but was quickly extinguished, the company said in a statement.
The statement added that the rig was repaired and put into service again, suggesting the damage was not severe. It is unclear how several people came to be injured.
GISS did not give a reason for the fire or the financial cost.
