Abu Dhabi International suspends all flights amid storm
All flights at Abu Dhabi International have been suspended until further notice due to severe weather conditions.
Officials at the capital’s airport have issued a statement saying the decision was taken in line with aviation regulations.
“Due to severe weather conditions, flights at Abu Dhabi International Airport are suspended until further notice, for the safety of our passengers and in line with civil aviation regulations,” said the statement.
Passengers at Dubai International Airport are also facing major delays, according to Emirates airline, who issued a warning to customers to check the latest flight status on the airline’s website.
Heavy rain, strong winds, as well as thunder and lightning, in the UAE affected transport in all emirates, with many roads severely flooded.
