Dead body found in wheel well of Air France plane
French police are investigating after the dead body of a man was found in the landing gear bay of an Air France Boeing 777 at Paris’ Orly airport Monday.
The flight had landed at the airport after flying from Brazil to Charles de Gaulle and the body was found during routine maintenance, according to airport officials.
The corpse was discovered during maintenance operations on the Boeing 777 at Orly after flying in to Paris’ main international Charles de Gaulle airport from Sao Paulo two days earlier, a police source said.
In a similar case in 2013, a dead stowaway was found in the landing gear of a plane that had landed at Charles de Gaulle from Cameroon.
More recently, a body was found in the landing gear of an Emirates Boeing 777 freighter after landing at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport on September 12, 2015.
