MNX opens new Amsterdam life sciences logistics centre
MNX Global Logistics has opened a supply chain and logistics facility in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, located just outside of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
This facility, with temperature-controlled supply chain capabilities, will serve as the operations and warehousing hub for its life sciences and medical device customers throughout Europe.
“The demand for our services particularly in biologics, cold chain and medical devices logistics in the EMEA region has been tremendous and we have seen double digit growth in the past 12 months,” said Paul J. Martins, MNX CEO and president.
“Customers with the need for expertise in regulatory transport, strict adherence to chain of custody, visibility, control and security of their high value and time critical products are turning more and more to MNX.

The new facility’s capacity exceeds 1,300 sq m with the option to expand by an additional 1,700 sq m when needed.
The company says this HACCP and GDP compliant facility was designed to exceed the highest standards in the handling and movement of critical biopharmaceutical, radiopharmaceutical and medical device shipments.
The facility features -20 degrees C, 2-8 degrees C and 18 degrees C temperature controlled storage with 24/7 monitoring, back-up systems and state of the art security in order to ensure the constant integrity and security of our customer’s temperature and high value shipments.
“The new Life Sciences Logistics Centre in Amsterdam allows us to provide cross docking, inventory storage and transportation for our clients needing temperature sensitive control. In addition, our customers will benefit from our strict adherence to industry wide compliance procedures and protocols and our direct ramp access to personally deliver and retrieve critical shipments from the airlines that serve Amsterdam Airport Schiphol,” revealed Jan Willem Van ‘t Riet, MNX senior vice president for EMEA.
