CILT convention to be held in Dubai this September
'Stronger Together: Global Strategies for Success in Logistics and Transport' has been announced as the theme for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s (CILT) International Convention this year, which takes place on 13-16 September at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel in Dubai.
The four-day event is an opportunity for those working in supply chain, logistics and transport as well as CILT members from all member countries to discuss the latest industry issues around the world.
Following the success of last year’s event in Malaysia, this year’s International Convention will bring together more than 200 international delegates from around 30 different countries.
The programme includes high-profile industry speakers, presentations and a chance to participate in a mix of working sessions and networking opportunities.
The first day of the convention features a Young Professionals Conference and Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) Conference.
The themes for WiLAT’s conference include mentoring, empowerment, leadership and entrepreneurship. The Young Professionals Conference will have specialist consultants in attendance who will advise teams of young professionals as they compete in interactive logistical challenges.
Keith Newton FCILT, secretary general, CILT International, commented: “The International Convention provides us with a very exciting opportunity to come together and discuss the latest issues from around the world.
"Being in the Middle East, for the first time since 2005, is a great chance for more of our European and African members to join us.
"I urge all members to come and experience what being part of the CILT International family is all about and to network with and learn from some of the most celebrated professionals in our industry.”
