CEM Airport-specific security solution at Airport Show
CEM Systems is preparing to exhibit its AC2000 Airport Edition (AE) security management system at next month's Airport Show in Dubai.
Using advanced hardware and airport-specific software modules the AC2000 AE system is designed for the airport environment.
"With 25 years experience working in consultation with airports, the Airport Show is the ideal platform for CEM to demonstrate to Middle Eastern airports why 80% of UK airports already use a CEM access control solution," said Philip Verner, marketing manager at CEM Systems.
The company, which is part of Tyco International, recently implemented the security management system at Heathrow's T5 building following its successful implementation at Gatwick, Manchester and other large airports around the world.
The S610e FingerPrint card reader will also be exhibited at the Airport Show, providing visitors with an opportunity to test the product, which is a fully integrated solution for both access control and biometrics.
Verner added: "In particular, the S610e finger print reader provides a highly secure, flexible solution that eliminates the need for an additional biometric cabling network and software. Using a database, the reader holds cardholder data at door level, giving full verification at all times, even if communication to the access control host is not available. This ensures the system does not fail for airports."
