Independent Freight wins major Saudi contract
Freight and logistics specialist Independent Freight has secured a major contract to handle the international export and shipping for construction company Roodsafe for the construction of the King Abdullah Football Stadium in Saudi Arabia.
This news comes following a string of successes in the Middle East with new contracts for shipments to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates, the company said in a statement.
Specialising in the provision of national and international freight and transport services, with customised freight forwarding for both import and export, Independent Freight has developed particular expertise in the Middle East due to the growing level of demand from the region, says Jenny Hooper, Independent Freight’s founder and managing director.
“We are seeing a significant increase in our activities with the Middle East for both import and export,” Hooper added. “We have built up a real understanding of the regional market and the specialist regulatory environment in each of the countries involved. This can be difficult for many of our clients so it’s important that we have all the expertise to advise and support them and take the headache out of the process, making sure that consignments arrive safely and on time.”
Roodsafe managing director, Simon Rood, said: “Working with Independent Freight has made the whole export process seamless from start to finish. Our business in the Middle East is growing and having a partner like Independent Freight to support and advise us is essential.”
Independent Freight has recently also won its first order for shipments to Iraq with a consignment of industrial and machine parts destined for the construction industry in Basrah.
