Logistics Executive Group has reached a major milestone with its global Logistics Academy recently completing its first course in the Middle East.

Organised as a result of a partnership between Logistics Executive Group and Iconis Learning & Development, a leading worldwide training organisation, the workshop was delivered in Dubai by Iconis directors David Rowlands and Jon Spencer, who possess over 50 years of learning and development experience between them.

The course included two half day interactive sessions focused on developing emotionally intelligent leadership and employee engagement skills. 

The next Logistics Academy workshop will be delivered by Iconis Learning in March and will take place in Dubai.

Brian Cartwright, managing director, Logistics Executive Middle East & Africa, said: “The Logistics Academy was created with the main goal of up skilling the supply chain and logistics sector as a whole by engaging with reputed training organisations providing a training and development hub for individuals and organisations to take part in accredited supply chain and logistics core skills training as well as soft skills and leadership development.”

The next stage in the development of the Logistics Academy is a suite of certified online distance learning programmes, due to be launched in January 2015.
