The value of the total announced transportation projects in Saudi Arabia currently stands at  $81.6 billion, making it, along with the UAE, one of the top transport markets in the region.

Arab News reports that 12 million vehicles use the country's roads each day and by 2030 this figure will have more than doubled.

As an initiative to contribute to the development of this rapidly expanding sector and highlight opportunities Saudi and the wider GCC offer, Riyadh Exhibitions Company (REC) is set to organise Saudi Logitrans 2015, the international exhibition for transport, logistics and freight, from January 25 to 28, 2015.

Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC) will host the Ministry of Transport-sponsored event.

Running concurrently is Saudi Rail 2015, the international exhibition for rail, metro lines and urban transportation, and the Saudi Rail and Logitrans Conference. The latter will showcase products and services in fields such as air freight, logisticsand distribution services.
