Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (DAFZA) has celebrated the 43rd UAE National Day with a series of events reflecting the national values of the UAE.

The celebrations, widely attended by partners and representatives of DAFZA-based companies, reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to position itself as one of the most advanced freezones in the world as part of the government’s aspirations to position the UAE among the most successful nations in the world.

Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, director general of DAFZA, said that the commemoration of the establishment of the UAE is a proud occasion for all citizens.

Among the activities held at DAFZA’s main headquarters was a show featuring children from the Rashid Centre for the Disabled and the raising of the UAE flag in the presence of representatives from Dubai Police Academy as a symbolic expression of loyalty, patriotism and commitment to serving and protecting the country.

In a statement DAFZA said it continues to support the goals of the UAE Vision 2021 development plan aimed at building a diverse and flexible knowledge-based economy led by qualified and skilled Emiratis. It added that all of its senior management positions are held by Emiraties and that women are integral to its success.
