Agility has signalled its growth in the Middle East healthcare industry, following a US$23.2 million contract with regional medical company Bader Sultan and Brothers.

Under the agreement, the logistics company will deliver approximately 3000 items to Al Khafji Joint Operation (KJO) Hospital, which is located on the border between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. It will also be responsible for managing the delivery and distribution of supplies to the hospital's bulk store, substores and pharmacies using Hospital Management Information System (HMIS).

"Agility has distinguished itself in the Middle East, and across the world, as a company that consistently provides comprehensive, innovative and reliable logistics solutions," commented Elias Monem, chief executive officer of Agility in the Middle East and Africa.

"Under this five-year contract, we will be handling, transporting, distributing and storing a vital range of materials to the working operations of KJO hospital, including pharmaceuticals, medical consumables, minor instruments and laboratory reagents. It's difficult to imagine any other industry in which the services we provide could be of more importance," he added.
