Dubai Commerce Chamber plans SMM trade mission
Dubai’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organising a trade mission to the 26th edition of the Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine Technology (SMM 2014 Expo), being held in Hamburg next month.
The trade mission is part of the Chamber’s efforts to promote the proficiency of Dubai’s maritime industry and strategic location to a global audience.
The trade mission, which is led by H.E. Hisham Al Shirawi, second Vice Chairman, Dubai Chamber, will include top officials of leading shipbuilding, machinery and marine technology companies who will get to exhibit their company portfolio as well as the opportunity to liaise with global maritime business leaders at the special Dubai Chamber national pavilion at the Messe Congress exhibition centre.
With over 2,000 exhibitors and more than 50,000 trade visitors from all over the world, the SMM international maritime trade fair is the leading event for the industry, and is an ideal platform to see innovations in the maritime sector.
The objective behind the trade mission is to strengthen Dubai’s image as a key maritime hub and business destination, to support the overseas expansion of UAE companies, and to gain insight into recent trends impacting the marine industries.
The trade mission also offers excellent opportunity for Dubai delegation to network and discuss potential business synergies with leaders in Hamburg’s thriving maritime sector while allowing Dubai Chamber to consolidate its strategic ties with the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.
