Oman DryDock completes LNG ship repair

Repairs on OSC vessel took just over 20 days.


 The Oman Dry Dock Company has completed the repairs and maintenance of an Oman Shipping Company owner LNG carrier, the 148,176-cbm Ibra LNG.

The company has successfully carried out maintenance work for the second ship of its type after obtaining GTT licence which qualifies it to carry out repair works for LNG carriers.

Repairs of the vessel took just over 20 days and included integrated maintenance works such as repair of the main engine, navigation system, painting, replacing some parts in addition to various technical works managed by a competent teamwork of technicians, engineers, specialists working in high standard work environment,.

Tariq bin Mohamed AL Junaidi, acting chief executive officer of Oman Shipping Company stated that the repairs and maintenance works has been completed in a time efficient manner and in the agreed deadline between Oman Shipping Company and Oman Dry Dock.
