CargoGulf launches office in England
The international growth of CargoGulf continued last month, with the non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) opening its first office in the United Kingdom.
The facility, which is located in Manchester, has allowed the company to double its staffing levels and quadruple its office space in the European country.
"We are committed to investing in key locations around the world. This office in the UK will support our mission to better serve the international freight forwarding and logistics communities on a global level," said Hans-Henrik Nielsen, managing director of CargoGulf in the UK.
The United Kingdom is considered a traditional stronghold for CargoGulf, which commenced operations in the country through a number of agency network agreements in 1985. Business growth has reportedly been strong in the last two years with many new trade lanes coming on stream.
"Together with our existing offices in Dubai, Singapore and Jakarta, our presence in the UK will help to increase our co-load business in core trade lanes. The Asia/UK trade lane, for instance, is a strategic and important route for CargoGulf and having our own office in the UK will assist the growth of our less than container load (LCL) business," added Nielsen.
